Folks its been a while.
Of late I have been enjoying the music of El Guincho. I think he is from the canary islands.
His music? A pretentious pic 'nd mix of shouting, twinkly bell sounds and sweet 'dirty pop'.
'Bombay' would probably be the musical love child of Beck and MIS. It makes good ambling round the house/applying night out face/dish washing music and the video is a homage to Alejandro Jodorowski's trippy as hell 70's masterpiece 'Holy Mountain'.
If you like nonsensical/hilariously porny/shamelessly sacrilegious films, 'Holy Mountain' is for you.
If you like story lines/dwarfs/Jesus, its probably not the film for you.
I heart this film. Best opening. Best Cast. Best costumes. I could continue, but I best not.
Paula Rego. I visited her tiny ant hill-esque museum this weekend. OMG.
Not only is she a complete genius in various mediums, an inspiring lunatic and fairytale fanatic, her museum cafe makes the worlds most splendid brownies.
She has fast become a bit of a hero of mine.
